About the additional programmes at Meridian

At Meridian, language acquisition takes place not only in the classroom, but also through daily practice in a variety of contexts. Our English playgroups and the preschool learning centre invite children to discover the English language in a pleasant, flexible and supportive environment – with fun and enjoyment of movement. The programmes are inspired by CLIL and TPR and promote learning through play, creativity and experience.

In our additional course English for 6- to 9-year-olds, we welcome all children from across Vienna – whether they are just starting out with the language or building on initial basic knowledge. Together, we explore the building blocks of communication, develop confidence in self-expression, and learn that mistakes are a valuable part of learning. The focus is on play-based, movement-oriented learning, supported by creative and sensory-rich activities.
Our aim is to broaden horizons beyond the standard curriculum – ideal for children who need more support in English or are curious about language in many areas of life.

For our preschool children (5–6 years), the focus is on targeted development of school-readiness skills. Concentration, perseverance, resilience, language comprehension in German and English, as well as gross and fine motor skills form the foundation of the varied play and learning activities. The course is designed so that children grow through play, develop further, and are prepared for school with joy.

Course fees for the 2025/26 school year

Meridian preschool course & additional English tuition for children

Multi-child discount: 10% for the second child and 5% for each additional child. A direct debit mandate is required for monthly payments.
