Our Educational Concept

Our educational concept provides the foundation upon which our social, pedagogical, didactic and entrepreneurial actions are built. We are fully aware that a concept is only as good as its implementation in daily school and business life – therefore we do everything to live it every day.

Our goal is to strengthen our pupils in their cultural, linguistic and social identity so that they

• develop into committed and independently acting individuals
• encounter other people, languages and cultures with openness, empathy and respect
• understand and contribute as global citizens in a global context and at the same time as fellow citizens in their immediate living environment.

All-Day School Community

We adapt to the requirements of modern family and professional life and offer a reliable and demanding all-day programme with

• lessons in block periods
• lunch
• supervised homework hour
• STEM focus
• additional supervision times and courses in the morning and afternoon as well as during school holidays

For our pupils, the school is a place of learning and living, a place where they can feel secure and challenged. Through shared eating, playing and working, they learn to share, assert themselves and prove themselves.
The extracurricular activities also take place in German and English. This promotes learners' natural use of both languages.

Numerous studies confirm that multilingualism at a young age has a positive influence on the learning process. Unlike monolingual children, cognitive ability improves and concentration skills are further developed.

Lessons in English are taught integratively in the following subjects from Year 1:

According to the statutory curriculum for primary schools:

• General Studies
• Mathematics
• Music Education
• Art Education
• compulsory and optional English exercise
• Movement and Sport

In addition to the statutory curriculum, the following take place with consideration of the English focus:

• project-based learning and individual learning time
• STEM focus
• daily garden hour and lunch
• excursions and walks

STEM deals with topics from the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. Skills in these areas are promoted across subjects with a great deal of personal initiative, and the effectiveness of mathematics and science teaching is enhanced. In the project room, pupils develop their abilities in mathematics, logic and creativity through building and constructing. In addition, children experiment in the fields of natural science and technology.

Lessons take place in a well-supervised, safe and stimulating learning environment. Teachers with German and English as their native languages are responsible for the children.
